History

The Sexual Violence Law Center (SVLC) was founded in 2008 by Catherine Carroll & Kelly O'Connell, former lawyers with the WA Coalition of Sexual Assault Programs. Based in Seattle, Washington, SVLC is a 501(c)3 charitable not for profit organization with more than 25 years of combined experience working to improve the legal response to survivors of sexual violence.

Our Belief

It is never the fault of a victim who is sexually abused. All children are vulnerable. All teens and adults alike are at risk of being sexually victimized. Regardless of the choices people make or who they are - No one ever deserves to be sexually abused.
